KALI KEY FLOATABLE KEY CHAINS
Created by San Clemente’s James Houtmann, otherwise known as Mr. Organico, Kali Keys are hand-made floatable key chains and rings made from discarded material. These whimsical, yet functional creations give new life to non-compostable waste from local companies that would otherwise end up in the landfill.
Kali Keys are designed mainly for marine use to protect keys from sinking and are essential in boating and water sports. They are Eco-friendly, ultra lightweight, waterproof, scratch-proof, and rustproof. They also make a perfect pool key holder and are a great conversation piece!
Mr. Houtmann’s message, as seen in a variety of products and characters that he creates, is to spread the idea of conservation through art by re-purposing items that are commonly discarded. By using his knowledge and creativity, he is taking the idea of “Reuse, Reduce, and Recycle” to the next level, making new function out of waste products.
